CONTEST TERMS & CONDITIONS

Timberland Raya Ready Social Contest (“Contest”) 

  

By taking part in this Contest, you are taken to have read these Contest Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by these Contest Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Contest Terms and Conditions, you must not participate in this Contest. 

  

  1. Contest Period:

This Contest starts on 29th March 2024 12:00hrs till 14th April 2024 21:59hrs and is open to all Singaporean, residing in Singapore, and aged 18 and above (proof of address and age may be required) except employees of Timberland and employees under Timberland’s affiliated companies or an employee, officer or agent of any person or organization involved in the running of the Contest. 

  

  1. Contest Mechanics:

Using your own registered social media account on Instagram, 

STEP 1: Take a picture of yourself in your festive outfit, incorporating at least one Timberland item in your outfit. The Timberland item must be an apparel or a footwear item.  

STEP 2: Post it on your Instagram profile and tag Timberland Singapore @timberlandsg, along with the hashtags #RayaReadywithTimbs #TimberlandSG 

 

This Contest requires participants to ensure that his/her social media account settings allow for public view during the duration of the Contest. In the event Timberland is unable to verify the entry due to incorrect account settings, the entry will be considered invalid and voided. 

 

  1. Prize:

1 winner with the best and creative entry will be chosen from Instagram and verified by Timberland and/or its agents and winner will win 1 pair of Timberland boat shoe: Timberland Men’s 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe, or Timberland Women’s Noreen 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe. 

  

Prizes are awarded “as is” and are strictly non-transferable and non-exchangeable and are accepted by the participant without warranty or guarantee of any kind, whether express or implied. No cash alternative is available. 

  

Timberland does not guarantee the availability of the prize and Timberland has the sole and absolute discretion to replace and/or substitute such prize(s) with any other prize of similar value as determined by Timberland, its agents, or sponsors.  

 

  1. Delivery of Prizes:

Winners shall be responsible and required to private message Timberland via the social media platform of the Contest they participated in within seven (7) calendar days from the winner’s notification/announcement to provide their personal details (name, email, and contact number) for identity verification for prize collection. Hence, participants are encouraged to stay tuned to Timberland’s Instagram or Facebook page and on their submission to find out the latest update. 

  

If a winner does not private message Timberland via Timberland’s Instagram or Facebook page within seven (7) calendar days upon winner’s notification/announcement, chooses not to accept the prize or fails to collect the prize from the specific Timberland store within a specific period upon being informed, Timberland reserves the right to award the prize to a replacement winner (at the discretion of Timberland), forfeit the prize or donate the prize to charity. 

 

  1. 5. Publicity and Personal Data

By participating in this Contest, all participants agree and consent to their personal data and photographs being collected, processed, and used by Timberland for: 

  1. the purposes of administering the Contest including conducting background checks on participants’ identities and to verify their eligibility to participate and receive prize; and
  2. marketing and promotional activities conducted in such manner as Timberland sees fit in any media including but not limited to any form of advertising or publicity media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through newspapers, television networks, radio stations, or online and digital media and on the Internet, without further express consent from Participants. Marketing and promotional activities include without limitation the use and/or publication of any contents/details provided in and/or in connection to the entries, as well as responses and related photographs.

  

For the avoidance of doubt, it is a condition of entry that participants consent to the publication of their names and social media platform identifiers (in the format of username, profile picture, and/or submitted photo) on the relevant social media platforms for publicity purposes. 

  

  1. 6. General Terms and Conditions:
  2. Timberland reserves the right to amend the Contest Terms and Conditions contained herein at any time and any such amendments shall be effective upon publishing it.
  3. Timberland is not responsible for any Contest entries that are incomplete, tagged incorrectly, unreadable, ineligible, corrupted, misdirected, lost or delayed, or are unable to be sent/ published due to technical or transmissions failures of any kind or any other reason.
  4. All entries submitted must NOT contain material that is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent (e.g., relating to murder, the sales or use of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing or which is otherwise inappropriate, in the sole discretion of Timberland, nor may the content submitted contain any derogatory references to Timberland or any other person or entity including brands or trademarks of Timberland or any other person or entity.
  5. Timberland reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Any cancellation, termination, or suspension of this Contest by Timberland shall not entitle the participants(s) to any claim or compensation against Timberland for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Participants(s) as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  6. Timberland is not liable for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any participant as a result of entering the Contest or accepting the prize or any injury or damage suffered by or to the participant’s or any other person’s personal property including but not limited to a computer or mobile telephone relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading/uploading any materials in connection with the Contest.
  7. Timberland’s decision on all matters relating to this Contest is subject to the sole discretion and final decision of the Timberland. No further correspondence, appeals, protests, or attempts to dispute the same will be entertained. 
  8. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of Timberland by winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner  may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Contest, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Contest, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
  9. By participating in the Contest, the participant warrants that:  

(i) he/she is the sole legal and beneficial owner of all intellectual property rights to any entry or work (such as photographs, written works or drawings) submitted by him/her. In the event that any third party alleges that any such entry or work infringes the copyright or other proprietary right of such third party, the participant shall defend and indemnify Timberland from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, recoveries, judgment or execution resulting and/ or arising there from;  

(ii) he/she has not licensed or assigned any copyright or intellectual property right in his/her entry or work to any third party anywhere in the world.   

  1. The Contest Terms and Conditions herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
